Thanks a lot for describing the additional way to accomplish this. I'm using something similar. However you've got to have some technical knowledge in order to set it up. And some users just don't know how to do it or don't even want to know such things. All they want is to install something and see that it works. I see such people all the time and I think that they are right and that's why I wanted to see what others think.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

I do this all the time. You need a dynamic DNS service, such as DynDNS. A lot of routers (or routers with third party firmware such as DD-WRT and Tomato) have DDNS updaters which will update your dynamic DNS domain with your current IP. You can also get a small utility from DynDNS that will do the updating as well. You then simply create a bookmark with the proper info in order to login into your mobile webui.

i.e. http://mydynamicdnssite.dyndns.com:8081/gui/iphone.html

You can also set up your webui to to use SSL via stunnel which will encrypt your password and session. Info for that is here at the bottom of the page: http://www.utorrent.com/documentation/webui
